Facilities: Digital X-rays and Eco-Friendly Environment
At CFD, our #1 priority is preventing cross-contamination between our patients. We practice exceptional infection control at ALL TIMES, using MediClean and Shield (MCS).
Our team regularly:
- Runs the water lines and suction tubes with special cleaning agents
- Sterilizes the equipment
- Wipes down the operatory with antibacterial/antimicrobial wipes
- Changes barriers after each patient
We also wipe down the door handles throughout the office as the day progresses. You can rest assured that you won’t receive anything but a clean dental visit every time.
New Patient Comprehensive Exam
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting of your teeth and existing dental work, periodontal probing to measure gum health, intra-oral photos, and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
We will also take X-rays, including the panoramic X-ray, to visualize the oral cavity and skeletal structures. Our bite-wing series helps us diagnose the bone level and find decay between the teeth. Without X-rays, we cannot fully diagnose and treat you with the utmost standard of care.
Dental Cleanings
Our team will also provide dental cleanings at routine dental visits to keep your teeth and gums clean. During a cleaning, we will remove plaque and tartar from your smile using stainless steel dental tools.
Plaque is a bacterial film that can build to form tartar. Tartar, or calculus, is plaque that is hardened. Because it is difficult to remove tartar at home, it’s important to visit the dentist regularly for cleaning.
We will also provide a gritty toothpaste cleaning and mouthwash. Once your cleaning is complete, one of our dentists will examine your smile.

We know you have many choices when choosing a dentist, so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our website. If, for any reason, you cannot keep a scheduled appointment or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible to avoid receiving a cancellation fee.
