Welcome to Cooper Family Dental. Cooper Family Dental was established in 1990 and is one of three offices opened by Dr. Bich-Huong and Dr. Kien Nguyen. They are first generation refugees from Saigon, Vietnam, and graduates of UAB’s School of Dentistry ASPID program. They practiced for over 30 years, providing reputable dental care to the Dallas-Fort Worth and Arlington communities.
Their son, Dr. Jeff Nguyen, graduated from USC Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2007. Dr. Jeff Nguyen has been practicing and managing Henderson Family Dental. Dr. Jeff’s wife, Caroline Nguyen, graduated from the USC Dental Hygiene program in 2006.
Dr. Jennifer Nguyen is the youngest and final family member to graduate from USC Ostrow in 2015. She moved back to Dallas to join the family practice, working primarily at Lochwood and Cooper Family Dental. Dr. Sang Kwon Seo joined as a general dentist for Cooper Family Dental, continuing to provide high-quality care for Arlington patients.
Dr. Seo and Dr. Nguyen are dedicated to dentistry, going above and beyond to provide the utmost quality of care. They spend extra time getting to know each patient personally and addressing their needs and concerns.
Dr. Seo and Dr. Nguyen institute new technologies, subtle renovations, and streamlined systems to Cooper Family Dental without losing the mom-and-pop feel and quality of health service established over three decades ago.

Protecting your Health through Technology
Our practice is MCS Certified! What does that mean? We’ve partnered with MediClean & Shield (MCS) professionals for the ultimate infection prevention and surface disinfecting practices.
The MCS team uses a patented and EPA-approved surface disinfecting and treatment application and a set of proprietary surface testing and water testing protocols that measure microbial contamination levels for proven, lasting results! Look for the MCS certification sticker outside our office door the next time you come in for an appointment.
Eliminating Viruses with EPA-Approved Hospital-Grade Disinfectant
Sanitizing, cleaning, and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces is essential in the ongoing fight to eliminate viruses! The MCS team uses a patented and EPA-registered disinfection and long-term microbial control system called PermaSafe™. MCS has years of experience in the healthcare industry and is an industry leader in infection control techniques and cutting-edge technology.
MCS backs their results with rapid microbial and ATP testing data, proving our facility is beyond ‘clean.’ Their proprietary 6-step process confirms that all our office environment surfaces remain antimicrobial and anti-viral for up to 3 months between cleaning and protecting spray treatments.
The Science behind PermaSAFE
PermaSafe is a patented and EPA-registered, broad-spectrum, hospital-grade disinfectant that eliminates up to 99.999% of these substances:
- Bacteria
- Viruses
- Fungi
- Mold
- Mildew
and other harmful microbes that can be hazardous to a person’s health.
PermaSafe is odor-free, skin contact safe, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive, and non-hazardous. It is safe to use on electronics, environmentally neutral, and eco-friendly. Most importantly, the PermaSafe system provides continuous antimicrobial control for up to 3 months without the repeated use of harmful, toxic chemicals that conventional disinfectants and antimicrobials use.
How the Process Works
MCS uses the PermaSafe system, a 2-step disinfection and protection process using two key products: PermaSafe CLEAN (Step 1) and PermaSafe SHIELD (Step 2) applied with an electrostatic sprayer.
PermaSafe CLEAN is the patented multi-purpose, multi-surface, broad-spectrum, germicidal cleaner, a food contact surface sanitizer, and hospital disinfectant that deep cleans and decontaminates surfaces to ensure the subsequent application of PermaSafe SHIELD achieves a practical, durable protective bond. It’s also EPA and NSF Registered, FDA Approved, and CDC Compliant.
PermaSafe SHIELD is the patented antimicrobial agent that molecularly bonds to the surface to which it is applied, effectively becoming a permanent part of that surface. Millions of microscopic antimicrobial “spike-like” appliances form and extend from the surface as the coating dries. These “spikes” are long ISO polymer chains of positively charged atoms representing a deadly dual threat to microbes.
Once cured, the antimicrobial coating forms an invisible protective shield. This shield inhibits the growth of microorganisms and helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria. Because the cell walls of harmful microorganisms are negatively charged, they are electrostatically drawn towards and pulled onto the positively charged spikes. The spikes impale and electrostatically “shock” the microbes.
The electrostatic sprayer kills up to 99.999% of pathogens, including the COVID-19 virus.
Proven Test Results
An MCS Infection Prevention Specialist conducts multiple tests in key locations to determine the amount of active organic matter through industry-standard ATP and microbial testing procedures. The pre-spraying results are documented and recorded as a baseline comparison. After the 2-step disinfection and protection treatment process, a post-spraying test verifies the cleaning and disinfecting process results.
